National Watchwords

Lastly in our lesson today, we will be focusing on the National Watchwords of Trinidad and Tobago.

These watchwords are, Discipline, Production, and Tolerance. Below shows a picture displaying the National Watchwords, take a moment to read aloud.

                

It is important to note that each one of these Watchwords has a meaning. Let’s look at the meaning below.

  1. Discipline – means to have good behaviors and follow rules.
  2. Production – means to make or create something, meaning We must produce to enjoy.
  3. Tolerance – means acceptance, meaning that you accept others who are different in their race, culture, habits, and even beliefs.

Remember that the Watchwords reflect the guiding principles and values in the development of the country and its people.
