Odd Numbers

Here we see the second image being displayed. In this image we can count five slippers. However, unlike the previous image, the five slippers cannot all be grouped into twos or paired, there is an extra slipper or a remainder that cannot be paired with another.

When a number is unable to be completely paired off or leaves a remainder it is known as an uneven or odd number.

Here are some examples of odd numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9

Here’s a bonus tip, any number that ends with 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 is an odd number.
