Curriculum and Academic Leadership

Dr. Catherine Ali

Dr. Catherine Ali has more than three decades of experience in Special Needs Education. As an inductee into the Golden Key International Honour Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success, Dr. Ali brings to Arcadia LEARNER a deep and forward-thinking understanding of how to support learners with and without disabilities to achieve their highest potential via hybrid learning. Dr. Ali collaborates in the design of Arcadia LEARNER lessons and activities to ensure they are developmentally appropriate, incorporate effective teaching strategies, and help to build on the foundation of essential concepts and skills learned face-to-face. Dr. Ali is a teacher-educator at the University of Trinidad and Tobago, where she teaches numerous courses and serves as the Discipline Leader of the Special Needs Education specialization. Among her earned credentials are a Teacher’s Diploma from the Trinidad and Tobago Board of Education, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and an M. Ed/Special Needs Education from the University of Sheffield, and a Ph.D. in Education/Special Needs Education from Walden University.
